Meet Alyson Keller
Alyson is an experienced Leadership Coach and Facilitator who has been working in the Organisational Development field since 2001. She has a passion and drive for improving the effectiveness and performance of individuals and teams.
A strong sense of purpose drives Alyson to do the work she does. Her own inspirational leadership style is guided by the following 'golden circle' model, which was popularised by Simon Sinek in his 2009 TEDx Talk: How Great Leaders Inspire Action.
Alyson serves as a confidant to leaders from a wide-range of industries throughout New Zealand. She is renowned for her ability to create a safe space for discovery and insight that leads someone to transformation through possibility thinking, collaboration, stretching the mind and reflection.
On a more personal note...
Originally from Scotland and coming from one big city, Glasgow, to another big city, Auckland, in 1991 Alyson comfortably settled into the culture and lifestyle that New Zealand has to offer. She feels very much at home and has a wonderful community of friends, family and colleagues in her life.
A passion for music is something that plays a very important part in Alyson's life and provides nourishment to her heart and soul. Music has always been in Alyson's life from a very young age and led to an initial career in teaching music to Secondary students which she did for 15 years. This provided a wonderful environment to progress from teacher to Head of Department and grow and develop as a Leader of a faculty. Alyson currently sings with an A Cappella group called Viva Voce. She has been performing with this 25 member chamber choir for over 10 years and continues to be inspired and challenged with the opportunities and adventures this brings.
Transitioning from teaching to leadership development felt a very natural step to take. Music provided an environment that required a diversity of strengths as a Leader and what excited Alyson the most was the opportunity to see and realise the potential in others through finding ways to inspire, energise, grow capability, stretch, challenge and create a customised journey that often exceeded what others thought was possible. With this focus and passion to enable and inspire others, working in leadership development has provided Alyson with the opportunity to continue to make a positive impact and ignite 'shining eyes' in others.
